Folding Acacia Adirondack Chair with Teak-Toned Finish
Available in stock
You get the deep amber-brown of teak here, on a chair that folds flat and tucks away when the season's over. It's solid acacia finished in a teak tone, a wood that handles weather perfectly well on its own.
Folds flat, sits like it doesn't
Raise the backrest and the seat and legs fold up against it, down to a fraction of the room a rigid chair takes. The frame stock matches a fixed chair, so once it's open there's no flex or creak to remind you it folds.
Wide arms, slatted seat
The armrests are broad enough to set a drink down properly instead of balancing it, and the slatted seat and back move air on hot days and drain fast after rain. The teak tone comes from a stain rather than the wood itself, so a light coat once a year keeps the color even.

Caring for a teak-toned stain
A stain, not teak
The deep amber-brown is a stain brushed onto acacia rather than the color of the wood itself. That is what lets it look like teak at a fraction of teak prices, and it is also the part that needs attention.
Keeping the color even
Sun and rain lighten any exterior stain over time. A light coat once a year, brushed on after a wash and a dry day, stops the tone drifting patchy where the sun hits hardest.
Mind the pivots
Keep the folding points free of grit and give them a spray of dry lubricant if the action stiffens. Store it folded and off the ground over winter and it will hold up for years.
Folding Acacia Adirondack Chair FAQs
Is this chair actually made of teak?
Is this chair actually made of teak?
No, and we would rather be straight about it. It is solid acacia with a teak-toned stain. You get the deep amber-brown look of teak without teak pricing, and acacia is a genuinely capable outdoor hardwood in its own right.
How flat does it fold, and how quickly?
How flat does it fold, and how quickly?
Raise the backrest and fold the seat and leg frame up against it. It takes a few seconds once you have done it once, and it stores flat enough to stand against a garage wall or slide behind a shed door.
Does the stain need reapplying?
Does the stain need reapplying?
A light coat of outdoor wood stain once a year keeps the color even. Skip it and the tone gradually lightens, which some people like and some do not.
Does a folding Adirondack chair feel less solid than a fixed one?
Does a folding Adirondack chair feel less solid than a fixed one?
Not once it is open. It uses the same frame thickness as a fixed chair, so it sits like one. The tradeoff is a few moving parts to keep clean rather than any wobble.

It is one of the better ones we carry for tight spaces, precisely because it disappears when you are not using it. Full-size comfort when open, minimal footprint when stored.
