The tabletop and frames are solid acacia rather than a printed or veneered surface, so the set carries real weight and holds its line across a long span. Acacia is dense and naturally oily, which is why it handles sun and rain outside. Left on its own the wood lightens and grays over the seasons, and a coat of wood oil once a year brings the warm tone back.
A capped umbrella hole
The table is drilled for a shade pole and comes with a fitted cover, so you can run an umbrella through the center in July and cap the opening cleanly when you would rather have the sun. You supply the umbrella and the base, since the table opening alone does not hold a pole steady.
