Furniture that never moves ends up planted in one spot all summer. This one has two wheels at the foot and folds nearly flat, so following the shade around the yard, or clearing the deck before a party, takes about ten seconds.
Woven over aluminum, not steel
The frame is aluminum, which matters more than it sounds. It doesn't rust, so poolside splashing and a season of rain leave it alone, and it keeps the whole chair light enough to lift with one hand. Over it sits a weatherproof PE rattan weave that wipes clean and holds its color in full sun.
Seven angles, then it folds
The backrest sets to seven positions from upright to flat, adjusted with the armrests rather than a lever you have to hunt for. When the season ends the frame collapses in one motion and slides behind a door or against a shed wall. The cushion is a thin weather pad rather than a deep one, which is what keeps the chair foldable; a seat pad adds plushness if you want it.
